The Pure Michigan FAM Trip

In July, Pure Michigan crossed the border to showcase Michigan State to the Canadian market. Canadians are the number one travellers to US destinations so promoting their US product north of the border proved key in their marketing strategy. Pure Michigan’s goal was to reach Canadian travellers via Canadian online content producers including travel bloggers, writers, and photographers.

Michelle and her team from Pure Michigan spoke about the unique adventures Michigan has to offer travellers including Detroit’s pretty gritty downtown vibe and a water wonderland heaven with over 11,000 inland lakes.

The FAM Trip and Giveaway

Beyond the event, Pure Michigan’s goal was to encourage a first-hand experience. Travel Massive community members were invited to attend a FAM trip touring Michigan organized by the Pure Michigan team.

Jane from Grey Routes & Tips and Will from Go Awesome Places also won a 2-night stay each at a Michigan hotel.

The event helped generate over 300K impressions to more than 145K accounts on Twitter.
